Building networks, one city at a time

Terrassa — UNESCO Creative City of Film

Since 2017, I have served as the official Focal Point for Terrassa within the UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN). This means coordinating cultural projects, ensuring compliance with UNESCO commitments, and brokering collaborations across cities on five continents. It also means a lot of flights, a lot of conversations, and — let’s be honest — a lot of wonderful dinners with extraordinary people.

From 2021 to 2024, I took on the role of Coordinator of the Film Subnetwork — the technical and administrative liaison between all UNESCO Creative Cities of Film and the UCCN Secretariat. I worked directly with the Assistant Director-General for Culture, mediated project development across cities, contributed to the selection of new member cities, and monitored compliance within the subnetwork.

I also co-founded the UNESCO Creative Cities Association of Spain together with other Spanish focal points, supported by the Spanish National Commission for Cooperation with UNESCO (AECID).
