M.Foucault stated that little babies are able to recognize themselves, for the first time, when they watch, in the arms of their mother, their reflection in a mirror and can think: my mother is carrying someone, I am in my mother’s arms, so that, it means that this someone is me.
Art and cinema are incredible mirrors to not stop learning about ourselves, in a permanent dialogue among the creative and audience. Personally, I had the opportunity of improving my own expression tools and talent by learning Cinematography and Screenwriting – their techniques and complexities. For example, during 5 years, I participated in the development and filming of more than 100 pieces. Light and words became the way of giving viewers the hand – even holding them in arms-, not only from a conscious, but also, unconscious way.
I had the opportunity of receiving different scholarships to study in two of the more prestigious Cinema universities in Europe and America : a BA degree in ESCAC-UB (www.escac.es) and a granted stay in Cuba- EICTV (www.eictv.org). One of my proudest achievements was being finalist – as cinema photographer – in the Polish Film Festival “Camerimage” of Lodz – one of the top contests of cinematography in the world – with the short film “Love”:
In 2011 I improved this field of knowledge with a MA in Philosophical Thinking and Creativity applied to Technology and Business.
